(Although sent as an e-mail on the above date, this prayer can be used on an ongoing basis.)
Dear praying friends,
I hope you are keeping warm but enjoying the beautiful winter weather during the day!
This week we will pray for the various refugee organisations worldwide, along the lines of the following prayer points. Feel free to single out some of them, which you feel a particular burden for.
- Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for so many organisations who are dedicating time and money to improve the lives of refugees world-wide.
- We thank you especially for those who not only offer material, emotional, educational and medical help but also spiritual help, through the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- We ask that you protect those brave workers and their families, who sometimes risk their own lives to improve the lives of needy refugees. We ask that you supernaturally protect them from diseases, acts of violence in war-torn countries, and persecution because of their Christian faith.
- We also pray that agencies would work together, as much as possible, to avoid duplication of services, competition, wasting of resources and worse; corrupt practices, where resources are syphoned off for corrupt individuals or government agencies and even terrorist groups.
- Dear Lord, would you please bring to light such corruption, so that these practices can be dealt with by the appropriate legal channels.
Blessings in His Name!
