Pia Horan is a mother and grandmother, a graduate of Sydney University (BHsc Rehab. Counselling) and a 1989 graduate of Power Ministry School (presently Hillsong College). Professionally, she has been involved with people in life crisis as a case manager since 2001 and briefly as a Life Coach. Pia is presently retired from her professional career.
Compassion has always figured prominently in Pia’s life; even at the ripe age of five, when she attempted to rescue her widowed grandmother from financial difficulties.
Since 2013, the deteriorating and desperate situation surrounding worldwide refugees has captured Pia’s attention and, after much prayer, she realized that earnest and ongoing prayer is needed for this dis-empowered and world-wide people group.
In April 2014, she commenced the World-wide Refugee Prayer Group. Further info re group, see under “About” on this website.
Pia fellowships with the Breakthrough Church (part of ACC) in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia, under the dynamic leadership of Pastors Ralph and Narelle Estherby. There she leads a home fellowship group and an English conversation group; the latter as a service to the local community.
Pia is the author of both the Background Information, as well as of the prayer compilations, under the prayerful guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Ralph has very kindly volunteered to get the website going and to assist Pia to overcome any technical glitches.
