Abba Father, we lift up this traumatised, scattered people group fleeing the madness of death and destruction in their homeland, for the sake of gaining or maintaining ultimate power. This war is fought by many in the name of Allah, whom they see as God.
We pray that You would reveal Yourself to them, through Your ministering servants (Christians) as the God who serves, by dying for us and by presently sharing in their suffering.
We thank you for organisations like the UNHCR and many other organisations that provide shelter, clothing, food, sanitation and water.
Last but not least; we pray for a cease-fire in Syria and a workable management of power, in the interest of its people and not its leaders, in order for refugees to be able to return to their homeland and all Syrians to live in peace.
