Present Refugee Situation in Italy
Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for the desperate refugee situation in Italy, where the government, NGO’s, churches and other aid organisations feel completely overwhelmed at the massive demand on their completely inadequate resources. Many refugees are therefore wandering the streets homeless, destitute and in danger of retorting to crime.
We lift up Italy’s population, who feel overrun by the non-stop arrivals of refugees to their shores. We pray for a God-given surge of compassion and goodwill amongst those who have the means to offer help, rather than an attitude of denial and judgement regarding the refugees in their land.
We pray for a groundswell of prayer all through Italy and Europe, as the problems associated with refugees are becoming a seemingly unsolvable watershed, in many ways. The hearts of many have become hardened to their plight, just as it has happened in our own country.
