World-wide Refugee Prayer Needs
Nigerian Refugees
22 May 2014
We lift up Nigerian refugees who have experienced the terror reign of Boko Haram (BH) and also become victims of the war between BH and government troops, in their mutual attempt to wipe each other out.
Nigerian refugees are traumatised by the violence witnessed. Often they have become homeless, bereaved of family members who have been killed, trying to find refuge in unsafe accommodation, struggling to survive physically, due to lack of food and sanitary living conditions and continuously fearful of being found by members of BH and killed or taken captive.
We lift up both boys and girls, kidnapped by BH over the last three years while at school and forced to become their slaves or recruited as child soldiers. Girls are used by the jihadists as sex slaves or married to them and forced to renounce their faith, if they are Christian, and to adhere to strict Muslim religious practices. We ask for supernatural boldness, strength, faith as well as deliverance from their oppressors. May you once again do what you do so well; turn the enemy’s evil plans into God’s ultimate good, as you did for Joseph in Egypt and at Calvary, through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Last but not least, we pray for the Nigerian government, that it would get serious regarding corruption in their ranks. We pray for godly men and women to be elected into government and that righteousness and justice would exalt the Nation of Nigeria. Enable the government to quickly eradicate all terrorist cells in their country and to keep them out for good. Amen
