Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for the nation of Libya and its people.
We pray for a stable and people-focussed government, free from the long-term corruption that has plagued this country.
We ask that anarchy be purged from this people, where groups with guns and self-centred ideologies rule.
We also ask that the advance of IS and extreme Muslim (Jihad) agendas be stopped in this country.
Most importantly, we lift up the long-suffering Christians in this country. They are in constant fear for their lives and are forbidden to meet together openly or to speak to anyone about their faith. I pray that they would be wise as serpents, innocent as doves (Matt. 10:16) and bold as Peter and John in Acts 4:19 and 5:29 (“We must obey God rather than men”).
