About the World Wide Refugee Prayer Network

Main Purpose:

In line with Matt. 6:9-13 (The Lord’s Prayer), we earnestly desire and pray for Christ’s kingdom to be established on the earth (Rev. 11:15) and His will to be done on earth, as revealed in the Bible.

We are chosen by God to be partakers of this process (Eph. 2:10).

We avoid getting into opinions and political- or other points of view. We only want God’s point of view, as discerned through His word and Spirit. As we pray according to His will, we have confidence that He hears us (1 Jn 5:14-15). His will is of course revealed in His word.

Who we are:

We are not a political lobby group for refugees; we are called purely to present our prayers to God, as mentioned in 1 Tim. 2:1 and Eph. 6:18.

We are a group of non-denominational Christians who have had a born-again experience and desire daily to be led by God’s Spirit in every area of our lives.

We therefore seek the Spirit’s guidance in the selection of individual prayer issues, to do with refugee needs.

We are fully convinced that our prayers are making a difference for the people we pray for (James 5:16b; that’s where the thanksgiving part of our praying comes in).

Frequency of our prayer requests:

A few times a month, a new prayer issue is sent to all those who have expressed a desire to be part of this intercession group and given me their E-mail address. With the prayer request there may be at times some brief and hopefully unbiased background information regarding the particular prayer issue.

Once you receive the new prayer request, pray as you feel led to. Some may want to add fasting, whenever the Lord puts it on your heart (make sure your doctor knows about this if you have any medical issues).
